| Entry 43: "Kenduri Tahlil"
“Kenduri
Tahlil” was held at 12.00 noon at my aunt’s home which is located in Sungai Kajang
village, Peserai, Batu Pahat, Johor. My relatives back to the village to attend
a wedding of my cousin which held on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
“Kenduri
Tahlil” was for the occasion so that simplified the things. This feast was
attended only by close relatives. Chicken curry and fried fish is the food
served. In the feast, we read Surah Yassin and “ Selawat” be upon the Prophet
Muhammad. Next, the men eat first and then the women afterwards.
The feast was simple but a lot of meaning. We arrived at my aunt’s home around 10.30 am and helped them for served the food and tidy the home.
