Entry 17: Athletes

Athletes is a person who involved in sport which involves track and field events, long distance, cross-country and road running, and race walking. There are many athletes in our country such as Dato’ Lee Chong Wei, Dato’ Nicol Ann David and Pandelela Rinong.

Pandalela Rinong is a Malaysian diver. She born in 2 March 1993. She became the first female Malaysian athlete to win a medal at the Olympics. In addition, it is first time any sport besides badminton can win the competition and she took the bronze in the 10m diving event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Besides that, Datuk Lee Chong Wei is a professional badminton player from Malaysia. He is Chinese and born in 21 October 1982. He won in silver medalist in both the 2012 Olympic Games and 2008 Olympic Games. He was married with Wong Mew Choo who is a badminton player from Malaysia.

Last, Dato’ Nicol Ann David is a Malaysian female professional squash player. She born in 26 August 1983 and from Penang. She is a player sho is ranking world number 1 in women's squash and the first Asian woman to achieve this.
